Diary of a Nerd #1
Dear Diary,
I have no idea why I'm being classified in the category of “nerds” by my classmates. According to my favourite website Wikipedia:
Psssh! Avidly pursues intellectual activities? At this day and age, shouldn't everyone feed themselves with as much knowledge as possible? We have way too many reckless, good-for-nothing youths who do not wish to have better lives/academic standards. I just don't wish to be one of them. Why does that make me a nerd? I'm just aspired!
Pursues technical or scientific endeavours? Who doesn't? Not only nerds do this. Scientists do too. Engineers. Physicist. Chemists. Medical practitioners. Hence, respected people appreciate science and technology. Nerd on the hand, is not exactly the most respectful term you can give someone... Science and technology are interesting, unlike the boring, yet ever-so-important subject of History. Now why can't my hatred for History un-nerdify me?
I AM NOT A LONER. I am not an outcast. I am not a weirdo. Just because I am very choosy when it comes to friends does not make me a loner. I enjoy company, provided it's good. You have to admit, sometimes... Books are better companions than those gossiping girls. I don't want to know who dates who or who likes who. I want to know how to construct a quantum version of gravity. I want to find the cure for cancer. I want to find the missing antimatter in Physicists' leading big bang theories! I don't have the time to mix around with a bunch of youth who claim to be good in Science just because they know who Albert Einstein is.
You know what? I am actually really normal. Here are the reasons why...
I secretly wish to be a rockstar and take over the world with my hardcore rock music.
I DO have a best friend. Her name is Flore. I tell everything to her. Hence, I'm not a loner.
I do not aspire to become a scientist. I shall become the world's first politician who doesn't lie.
As I've mentioned, I hate history. It just tells us all the mistakes that other people have done in the past you know? That's not very nice. Everybody makes mistakes....
Video games are SO yesterday. I play a lot of sports now to build my six packs..... On Wii.
Now why am I a nerd? My classmates are so judgemental!
Well, time to pen off now. Flore needs to eat. Sigh, that feline of mine.
