Lady Poetry (Poem)
At first sight you will behold her complexity,
Second, third appraisals shall reveal her beauty;
Listen patiently; the craftsman wants to be heard,
Recite aloud for her glory to be unearthed.
Embalmed in letters right on top -
Signage of an ancient bookshop;
Therein lies the key, clue and map,
Perfected with the gift of gab.
Her figure of speech captivates your heart,
Similes and imageries a form of art;
Her literary maneuvers will never harm,
Metaphors and symbolisms are merely charms.
Scrutinise her structure, her exquisite form,
Styled with rhyme or disordered like a storm;
Feel her heartbeat; It’s pulsing through her veins,
Punctuation, enjambment; splendor attained.
Consider her inward thoughts, breath of a sage,
Burdens and emotions that seem to rage;
Through her tone, her true colours revealed,
Intents, motives never are concealed.
