To This Day
As the world grows more open in many ways, so does it also become proportionately close minded. People become more accepting and more cruel all at once. And every day, the count increases. A count on how many people have been driven to depression, to anxiety, to self harm and much worse. A grimmer tally arises from this count; a tally on the number of suicides.
I think you know where there is leading to, dear reader. The issue of bullying. In all its forms, be it physical, mental or emotional. Many people have organised numerous projects to raise awareness on this issue. The most recent of which is the "To This Day" Project. It is based on a poem written by Shane Koyczan called "To This Day".
Over 80 animators united to animate the near 8 minute long video for this project. Each animator brought their own take and style to a 20 second long segment. The video was done to provide a visual exploring of the profound effects bullying would cause to a person.

Shane Koyzcan said this on his experiences with bullying, "My experiences with violence in schools still echo throughout my life but standing to face the problem has helped me in immeasurable ways."
